  • Overview

    The Director, Marketing and Employee Experience will manage and evaluate aspects of the employee experience in order to implement strategies that align employees with ABRA’s strategic vision and improve employee engagement. Accountable for overseeing internal communications, including the strategic planning, creation and distribution of content delivered by varied media across all business channels. This role is responsible for leading and managing the performance of direct reports.

    Responsibilities

     Employee Experience:

    • Architect the overall Employee Experience function – In partnership with business leaders, define the desired outcome for each phase of the employee journey and create a strategic approach to align activities to achieve those results
    • Provide program management capabilities to support strategic alignment across functions and full understanding of the impact to our employees
    • Understand the critical linkage between the employee experience, our business strategy and customer service – work to deliver experiences that prove it
    • Drive high-impact initiatives as a tactful change agent relied upon to anticipate cultural implications and construct organizational process
    • Grow the employee experience function to support the business operations necessary to maintain a high rate of growth in a service industry
    • Execute strategies that personally invest employees in the organization and its goals
    • Create forums for collaboration across functions
    • Assist in creating and implementing effective change management strategies and plans to ensure successful and sustainable change
    • Balance external marketing strategies with equally critical needs of internal audiences
    • Establish strong internal and external business partnerships to resolve issues quickly and advance efforts expeditiously
    • Collaborate in the identification of products, systems, and enhancements that will support our growth and continued success
    • Partner with department leadership as necessary to develop and implement objectives, strategies, policies and priorities that support employee experience objectives
    • Focus on outcomes and consistently clear paths to overcome obstacles
    • Create a system of repeatable processes that others can successfully follow
    • Ensure the right operations tools are developed to support customer experience initiatives
    • Responsible for directly managing & providing day to day work direction, and overall coaching, mentoring, performance management and development of direct reports.

     

    • Partner with senior leaders to design and execute internal communication plans that promote understanding of company strategy, priorities and key initiatives
    • Continuously improve existing communication channels and introduce new ones as appropriate to engage internal audiences through a variety of effective alternatives
    • Proactively identify opportunities/challenges and provide counsel to senior leaders on effective employee communication approaches
    • Develop communication plans in support of acquisitions, organizational restructures and coach managers in communicating effectively during transitions
    • Leverages and integrates technology, including management of company Intranet content to increase the impact of employee communications
    • Support HR initiatives, including benefits communications, talent acquisition, training and leader development
    • Infuse the corporate brand and messaging into employee communications
    • Set quality standards and effectiveness measures for content of communication materials, distribution and timeliness
    • Perform other duties as required to successfully meet the needs of the business
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively align and influence the organization around common goals and objectives.
    • Well-developed leadership, management and strategic-thinking skills, with the ability to excite and motivate others in a highly collaborative environment.
    • Capability to juggle different projects/priorities and deliver high quality outcomes under pressure.
    • Competence to balance structure and flexibility, with a fearlessness to challenge the status quo.
    • Strong executive presence and experience dealing with senior business leaders, including presenting to executive leadership.
    • Appreciation for audience-specific communications, including ability to take complex details and simplify them for broader audience consumption.
    • Ability to manage peers, provide work direction and effectively work in a team setting.
    • Strong creativity, time management, multitasking and problem solving skills.
    • Exceptional judgement and maturity to manage sensitive and confidential communication issues discreetly.

     

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of marketing experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively align and influence the organization around common goals and objectives.
    • Well-developed leadership, management and strategic-thinking skills, with the ability to excite and motivate others in a highly collaborative environment.
    • Capability to juggle different projects/priorities and deliver high quality outcomes under pressure.
