Overview

The Purchasing Admin Assistant position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Purchasing department.

Responsibilities

  • Complete invoice coding and research, which may include expense reports for leaders.
  • Assist with department travel arrangements as needed.
  • Prepare, update and edit department correspondence documents, reports, spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Administer Purchasing programs such as purchasing card and vendor payments.
  • Assist purchasing coordinators with functions as assigned.
  • Act as conduit for communication between internal departments; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support.
  • Performs other duties as required to successfully meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

2 or more years of experience with administrative duties

 

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / OTHER:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Team oriented, innovative, results oriented personality
  • Strong people skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Good organization skills
  • Proficient in with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Understands basic accounting methods

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position is based in a normal office environment with standard noise, white noise, and temperatures. Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
