Overview

The position will plan and oversee all projects within IT, and working with other ABRA stakeholders to provide advice, guidance and support on other projects with IT-related components. The position will enforce compliance with internal change management policy.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and implementation of information technology strategies
  • Preparation and implementation of technology plans for all new hardware, software or IT processes
  • Participate in implementation meetings related to any new software/hardware/systems to guide the discussion and ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the potential impacts/benefits to the business
  • Analyze new requests and understand how they will affect both current and future state of the business, and make recommendations on the viability of the requests based on this analysis
  • Analyze feasibility of IT projects and establish appropriate implementation schedules
  • Develop, implement and enforce change management policy
  • Track and record all work related to new software/hardware/processes
  • Generate documentation for internal staff to support new software/hardware/processes
  • Ability to implement technology projects as assigned on time and within budget
  • Accommodate flexible schedule for many unplanned daily activities.
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally work more than a 40 hour work week.
  • Ability and willingness for occasional travel.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Post-secondary education in a Technology-related discipline
  • Extensive experience managing IT projects
  • Advanced level knowledge and hands-on experience with the following: Windows 2008/2012 Server, Windows 7/10, Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office 2013/2016, Android/iOS device support, Web applications, Ticketing and monitoring software
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, Network Connectivity, LAN/WAN
  • MS Administration experience; Firewalls and Security
  • Familiarity with Citrix Desktop and Virtual Infrastructure (HyperV and/or VMWare)
