Overview

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financials. The Accounting Analyst will perform the accounting activities for select ABRA geographic markets and collision centers. In addition, the role will build relationships with management in the geographic markets to provide accurate, timely and insightful financial information to help drive ABRA’s performance

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform general accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely accounting close cycles
  • Maintain, analyze, reconcile and review assigned general ledger accounts and related activities
  • Prepare and review accurate calculations and schedules to support monthly GL entries and balances
  • Analyze market financial statements including revenue/cost variances and comparisons to budget and provide reconciliation analysis and variance reporting for assigned markets
  • Manage ABRA’s fixed asset system and accounting for all markets and ensure compliance with ABRA’s capitalization policies.  Assist with capital expenditure compliance reporting required by lenders.
  • Prepare documentation and perform analysis to assist in year-end audit and annual budget process
  • Formulate other ad hoc reports with analysis and participate in cross-functional teams developed for special projects
  • Recommend and implement value added improvements to processes.
  • Prepare multi-state sales and use tax returns
  • Perform other duties as required to successfully meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Typically, 2-4 years relevant work experience
  • CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related business degree

Requirements

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and well organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Office applications

 

Preferred

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply GAAP
  • Knowledge and experience with Lawson preferred.
